WWE super stars are no strangers to the silver screen and over the years, plenty of super stars have made a name for them in Hollywood. Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and John Cena have been two of the most famous stars in recent years, who have been successful in Hollywood and following in their footsteps is the former WWE star Dave 'The Beast' Batista.

The former World Heavyweight Champion, who has been on a sabbatical since last year, is a part of the cast in the movie 'Marauder' that revolves around a bank heist and stars other Hollywood big hitters like Bruce Willis, Chris Meloni and Adrian Grenier among others. Batista's role in the film is unknown but it can be safely assumed that he has a substantial part in the film since he has been a part of the promotions for the movie and there has hardly been any producer who has signed up a WWE star only to down play him in the promotional materials. Needless to say, WWE stars become one of the unique selling points of a movie, irrespective of the subject and that is the case with Batista and the film 'Marauder'.

Batista is, without doubt, one of the most recognisable faces from the WWE in the past 15 years or so and throughout his career at the company, he has been regarded as one of the most gifted wrestlers of his generation. He has held plenty of belts and has also been the World Heavyweight Champion during his associtation with the WWE. Batista had returned to the WWE after a hiatus in 2013 and after showcasing his considerable talents as a wrestler over the next year or so he decided to leave the company after he was not awarded a shot at the title by the controllers in the company in 2014. He had been offered a spot at WrestleMania but Batista was only interested in shows that were no televised and hence his policies directly conflicted with that of the company.
