"The Walking Dead" season 6 finale has left fans with a mighty question. No one has any idea who did Negan kill and it seems like the truth will be out only in the seventh season, when it starts airing in October this year.

Well, apart from that, the audience will be also introduced to a new character. According to reports, the producers have given a casting call for season 7 and the role requires an African American man in his 40s with an air of regality and confidence around him. It also asks him to have elaborate dressing style.

The Spoiling Dead Fans FB page says that the call is for Ezekiel. Lending more proof to the speculation is the comics' version character of Ezekiel. However, there are reports suggesting that the character's name is Augustus.

But this is not surprising as the series has changed characters' names in the past and Ezekiel might be Augustus in the seventh season. Interestingly, the actual casting call does indicate at the role being that of a recurring guest star with the option of multiple year series.

So, the rumors sound true as the introduction of Ezekiel in the seventh season also gels with the current storyline. The entry of villain Negan has made it suitable to have the leader of The Kingdom. Also, if one goes back to the season 6 finale episode, one would clearly remember Rick and Morgan getting in touch with the members of The Kingdom.

One of the men was wearing body armor and looking for his horse. Morgan shakes hand with them and they tell him that they can help him. So, it seems very likely that the stage is set for Ezekiel's entry, but we are yet to hear from the producers. Only then will things become crystal clear.
