"Battlefield 5" franchise is highly anticipated this year and the fans have been begging for more details about the game announcement. Needless to say that the game is one of the most sought after FPS titles worldwide.

The hype around the game has been at an all time high due to expected release of the title anytime after October 2016. As the rumored release date nears, rumors have also picked up across the internet. Many fans have been wondering about the theme on which the latest Battlefield installment will be based. Among these rumors is a speculation that the upcoming title will take the gamers back into WW1 era. Based on recent leaks, looks like rumor is indeed accurate.

According to a recent announcement made by Liam Robertson, gaming researcher, there has been a valid leak from a Swiss retail listing, containing a prominent, yet rumored feature of the upcoming game.

As per World of Games website, Swiss retailer, "Battlefield 5" is scheduled to be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 25. While a specific date is definitely a welcome piece of information, what is interesting is a short game description, "Mehrspieler Taktik Shooter im 1. Weltkrieg," meaning ""Multiplayer tactical shooter in WW1."

However, this is not all. Joe Brammer, "Battallion 1944" game's executive producer, recently said, "I've seen things, #BF5 things and I am beyond excited." Since the executive producer has several noteworthy titles under his belt that are themed on World War 2, his one statement immediately intrigued the fans all over the world.

However, Brammer retracted his statement and said that his statement was "clearly a mistake on my part." He also added that it was "a massive oversight on the desperation for squeezing information."
