One of the biggest hits of 2016 is the "The Jungle Book" created by Disney on Rudyard Kipling's famous book. It has earned $528 million worldwide. Congratulation Disney!

According to Collider, the movie became a much-loved particularly in Russia, China and India, with its international earning approximately $200 million. It holds true that a movie that is good for the kids is likely to perform better in the box office. However, "The Jungle Book" is not just a typical film for children, as it has received positive reviews from the criticizers as well.

The film ruled its second week opening with a surprising $60.8 million nationally. While it fell at 41% since its opening weekend, the film still managed to acquire a total income of $191.5 million just in a span of 10 days. Not only will such huge amount makes the movie the largest titles this year, but it is expected to finish higher than what it has accomplished today in the big screen.

The Movies News Guide reported, the current status of "The Jungle Book" at the box office, is safe to say that it is performing pretty well abroad. In fact, the film became the highest-grossing Hollywood film in India, as it nabbed an amount of $28.8 million.

Cinema Blend notes that the movie's biggest rival for the weekend was Chris Hemworth's "Hunstman: Winter's War," which is the sequel to "Snow White and the Huntsman" in 2012. The said film, however, only managed to earn $20 million during its opening weekend.

"The Jungle Book" is certainly one of the most wonderful works of Disney as the studio remains to conquer the box office empire. In truth, the studio is considering to make heights with "Captain America: Civil War" tracking at a $175 million opening.
