Rumors on the internet say that Apple Watch 2 will not be released until early 2017. In fact, another device, Watch S, is what will be released in June or September this year.

According to speculations about Apple Watch 2, it will most likely be set into a thinner casing. This rumor came from Brian White, an analyst in Wall Street. He further explained that the Apple Watch 2 will not be released in September, as is expected, but in June at the WWDC conference.

Other rumors, however, indicate at a September release, backed by supplies who have been contacted by the tech-giant for the supply of components. According to their estimation, the device will not be available before the second half of the year. Since they have only just started manufacturing the components, there is no chance that the device will make it before WWDC or even in September, when iPhone 7 launches.

In fact, other set of rumors indicate that Apple Watch 2 is being pushed for a next year release since the company is planning to launch an 'S' variant with minimal design changes. This rumor was reported by Apple Insider who picked on a speculation made by Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst working with KGI securities. He also said that Watch 2 will undergo many design changes so that it can sport better display and battery for it to be usable outdoors. If these rumors are indeed true, this could mean that "S" model for Apple Watch will be a similar kind of upgrade as with the iPhone lineup.
