"Avengers: Infinity War" rumors have been swirling around, but it seems that one thing that's confirmed is that Samuel L. Jackson will be returning for the movie - something every fan has been dying to hear.

Jackson played Nick Fury in Captin America: The Winter Soldier leading many to think that he would be appearing in Captain America: Civil War, yet we were all disappointed when that wasn't the case. But the latest news that fans are thrilled about is that Fury will be in "Avengers: Infinity War" in 2018, reports iDigital Times.

"I think I'm in Avengers 3 and 4, but I'm not in Civil War, " Jackson previously told Fandango at Cinemacon.

When he was asked previously about what he thought Fury would otherwise be doing, Jackson replied, "I guess I'm still out there, trying to figure out what happened to S.H.I.E.L.D. and who these other people are," the actor told Collider.

When he was in Avengers: Age of Ultron a year ago didn't appear so much leading Marvel fans to hope that they'll see more in this third Captain America movie. Yet, Newsarama reported that his absence holds true to the Comic series. Fans of the show's Comic series are now wondering how Fury's role will play out in this eagerly expected two-part film.

Fury had appeared in Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6. When asked about which side Fury would be on, the actor calmly and confidently said, "Ahhhh, I don't know. I haven't given it much thought. I'm Nick Fury -- Nick Fury is above all that."

"Avengers: Infinity War" is set to be released in 2018 and is divided into two parts. Part 1 is scheduled to be released May 4, 2018 and the second part, May 3, 2019.
