Across the NBA world, many mock polls would give Milwaukee Bucks a really scathing assessment as analysts pour down a generous amount of pessimistic predictions and a barrage of criticisms on the team. Last year, the team managed to enter the playoffs but not this year. In the midst of a disappointing season, head coach Jason Kidd is being rumored for transfers.

However, owners of the Milwaukee franchise came out and spoke of their emphatic pledge to back up Jason Kidd amid raging rumors of being fired from the team. With such confirmation of support from the ownership, Kidd's future as head coach is rather more secure than most people would think.

"At the end of the day, Jason is our coach," said primary owner Marc Lasry as reported by ESPN. "I know there's been a bunch of articles. We think he's done a great job. He's our guy.

"Everybody who keeps talking about it, it's a non-issue. I never understand why in this league you have these issues."

Despite an inglorious end this regular season, primary owners Wes Edens, Marc Lasry and Jamie Dinan seem pretty much positive on the future as Kidd enters the last year of his 3-year contract with the team worth $15 million.

"There's no question, from our standpoint the team underperformed this year," Edens said as mentioned by Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "But in terms of the development of the team, you couldn't be more optimistic about it.

"We've said from the outset, our goal is not to be a contender. Our goal is to win a championship. Period.

Does this bullish outlook by owners resonate with rank-and-file players?

Certainly it does. This year was rather tough for the team with many young players beset by injuries. Coach Kidd also missed 17 games following a hip surgery.

"We have to work harder and get better - that's the Carolina way. It has to become the Bucks way too," said John Henson, Milwaukee Bucks as reported by FOX News 6.
