Countless speculations are up in the air as to whether the director, Tim Burton is interested in continuing the sequel to the American fantasy based film, Beetlejuice.

Starring Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, the 80's based Beetlejuice saw a sudden element of being 'in-demand' as it came under the influence of mainstream success.

And thinking to re-inflate the essence of comedy based marvel, Tim Burton seems high-spirited and enthusiastic as we might be seeing Beetlejuice 2 this year!

Putting rumors to rest, Entertainment Weekly presented a chat with Seth Grahame-Smith in January to clarify the existing speculations regarding the second instalment. And as per the script writer, Grahame maintained that he has been efficaciously working with Burton to generate a strong script for the forthcoming part.

Regardless of the anticipation we are building up every day, we might gear up to expect some delay in part of Beetlejuice's launch. The reason behind the bewildering delay is that Burton is extremely committed to the team of 'Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children' which is currently under the phase of post-production.

So whether we will get to see the comedy sensation this year or not, we have to wait till Burton cut himself loose from the above mentioned film. And as per Grahame, the ideal time for Beetlejuice will be the end of this year.

Regardless of the hype, Burton's representatives have debunked the never-ending hear says, claiming that the follow-up is not under development and there is no news from the side of Burton, himself.

It was also speculated that Johnny Depp will replace Keaton to play the role of the protagonist as the latter is too busy with his other projects. However, there are no rock-solid confirmation as to when Burton will comment on his upcoming prodigy and who will replace who!

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children will be released this September, so hopefully we can see Burton and Grahame back in action after they have ample time to initiate the development for Beetlejuice.
