Both physically and politically Underwood has been proven weak in season 4. However, the previous season have proved him well! We never know he may somehow defeat his rivals.

According to Independent, the next season may release in March 2017. Will season 5 will be the end of show? Though it is renewed for another season, it is rumoured that it will be the last season of this show. While some of the episodes were full of drama and heated arguments, other lacked speed and enthusiasm.

Show runner Beau Willimon, quit his job after season 4. The reason may be finding other opportunities in this field. Thus Netflix is yet to decide, if they want another season of "House of Cards" after season 5 or not.

Kevin Spacey also confirmed that Melissa James Gibson and Frank Pugliese will be the new showrunners for this show. The show may end! The factor that supports this rumor is the fact of covering all the acrs of the plot of Michael Hobbs novel.

The GQ magazine reported: The spoilers for the next season might include things like Doug Stamper possibly killing LeAnn Harvey, who is being called the "female Stamper," He may be forced to kill her in a fit of rage, as she tries to overpower every decision which Stampner takes.

However, the best way to judge all the rumors right or wrong is to wait for the official release of 'House of Cards' season 5.
