"Red Dead Redemption 2" undoubtedly remains one of the most sought after topics of discussion amongst gamers. There are many who can't wait to get their hands on this famous title by Rockstar. However, Rockstar's silence is raising some serious questions. Is the game even happening?

The recent reports suggest that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is in its final stages of development and may soon become a reality. Rumor says that the game has been in development stage for the last four years and that the upcoming game will be titled "Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West."

Sources say that the game would most likely be announced at E3. However, Rockstar has not confirmed anything yet.

Meanwhile, another report surfaced that says that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will come equipped with a U.S. map. Speculation is that the game may be set in Japan, which is a completely different setting from its first installment, "Old West." While the previous one was set in Western part of US, new one will move towards the east. However, Rockstar has not issued any official statement about this rumor.

There has been buzz about the game's release date that has been set to June. However, at this moment, one cannot say if the next game will be a sequel or a prequel. The reports suggest that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be a prequel, set 12 years back from the first game. Other sources say that the game will be a sequel because of the way last game was structured. It needs a sequel and not a prequel, say sources.
