Gilmore Girls Revival Spoilers and News: The show is back with Melissa McCarthy.

Gilmore Girls is an American comedy-drama television series created by Amy Sherman-Palladino.

The TV Line reported: McCarthy is set to make the news official on Friday's Ellen (scroll down to watch clip). "I'm going to go back and do it," she enthusiastically told DeGeneres. "[Series creator] Amy Sherman-Palladino is going to squeeze me in to do it. I'm very happy to go back to Stars Hollow."

Sherman-Palladino's words in February: "But the thing I have said [to her team] is, 'Look, if Melissa is available and has an afternoon free, I'll write her a scene. Melissa was one of us. If she has a spare moment to run over [to the set] - even if for just a cameo - we would be totally game. And if it's a last-minute thing, I would write her in and we would figure it out. That's the way we left it."

Finally, Melissa McCarthy is back!

TV.com reported: "It's official: we can all chill out now because Melissa McCarthy will reprise her role as Lorelai's (Lauren Graham)'s best friend Sookie St. James in Netflix's Gilmore Girls revival, the actress announced on Ellen Thursday."

The news suspiciously comes the day before McCarthy's latest film The Boss hits theaters. It also comes after approximately 1,723 different articles were written about whether or not McCarthy, whose career skyrocketed after the series went off the air in 2007, would return to Stars Hollow, had enough time in her busy schedule to return to Stars Hollow, or was asked to return to Stars Hollow by series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who is writing the revival's four 90-minute episodes with her husband, director/producer Daniel Palladino, reported the TV.com

Gilmore Girls' fans have exciting episodes ahead and McCarthy will tape her appearance in the coming days.
