Amy Schumer has slammed back at popular magazine, Glamour Magazine for categorizing her as a "Plus -Size" celebrity.

The magazine had recently published a segment named "Women who inspire us." The segment featured celebrities like Adele, Melissa McCarthy and Ashley Graham. Amy also made it to this segment and was featured alongside the others.

Schummer took to the social media platform to respond to the publication.

According to reports, Amy has proclaimed that being plus size is proportional to being beautiful and healthy. In addition, she was also heard saying that in the United States, size 16 is ideally considered as plus size, but her size is something between sizes 6 and 8.

Amy finds her inclusion in a plus-size category as a wrong signal being sent out to young women who have a similar body type like her.

However, spokesperson from the magazine has a different story. According to the magazine, Amy's inclusion to the segment was done on a lot more positive note. Amy's confidence about her body's image was inspiring and by her inclusion in the segment, the magazine wanted to send out a positive note to women with similar body size. Therefore, the intention was for their readers to resonate with the positivity she brought about.

The magazine has gone ahead and apologized to the 34 years old American stand-up comedienne, writer, actress, and producer, if they had offended her. And, at the same time they have denied describing her as plus size in the edition.

Post this episode, Amy had posted a bikini clad video of her on the beach, on a social media account. With this video and post, she further tries to reinstate that any such labels are trivial.
