Gear up for Wednesday, April 6, when the world will end, according to the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) cult members. They are getting ready for apocalypse.

Elissa Wall, who escaped from the cult, says that the group was told by the imprisoned prophet, Warren Jeffs, that he will be able to get free from his jail when an earthquake destroys the walls of his prison.

Even his brother Lyle Jeffs, running the community in Warren's absence but jailed on charges of fraud, will escape from the Salt Lake federal court house, when he gets called for a hearing.

Ever since 2011, when Warren Jeffs was imprisoned for life due to child sex charges, he has continued to be the spiritual leader. Most of the followers are still in his cult as they fear that they will be denied access to heaven

He has prohibited internet, television, movies and children playing on bikes.

After Lyle took over, most of the rules remained, with lower members of the community remaining satisfied with rice and beans, while higher members could eat a lot of meat.

But the greatest change in the cult since Warren Jeffs' arrest is that a lot of people are leaving the community and disobeying his orders to not respond to the law. Now they speak freely to the FBI, filling hundreds of pages of court documents.

Still, there are a lot of followers. The apocalyptic prophecy is made at a time when Lyle and 10 others seek money to defend themselves against food stamp fraud.

But what happens when there is no end of the world, as happened in the past? Earlier, Jeffs said that it never happened because the followers were not worthy. However, this time, Wall hopes that the others too will understand the real face of leaders and escape the community.
