Recently, the Pokemon world has been swirling of persistent rumors about the supposed launching of the highly anticipated Pokemon Z this year. But new rumors are surfacing that will surely make the fans go down for a major disappointment.

A report from Ecumenical News seems to suggest that Japanese gaming giant Nintendo has recently put off the release of the Pokemon Z or cancel its development altogether in favor of another title, 'Pokemon Sun and Moon'.

Since 2013, Pokemon Z has been a trending topic among gaming buffs following the earlier launching of Pokemon X and Y making the global fan base truly ecstatic.

Another report from Yibada seems to confirm the possibility that the game has been ultimately shelved. The game was supposedly slated for formal announcement at Nintendo's Direct event, however, it never happened. Both Nintendo and the Pokemon Company allegedly axed the development as they already have more than enough titles already scheduled for this year's release.

On the other hand, there are also a handful of reports expressing hope that the release may still be possible since the alleged axing of the title has never been confirmed by either Nintendo or Pokemon Company in an official press statement.

According to some observers, the anticipation for the game is building up anxiety among fans who have optimistically expressed for its release some time in the near future.

In a latest roundup by Crossmap, it's also possible that the Sun and Moon may also include Pokemon Z. So far, information remains extremely scarce but rumors indicate that the titles may have two regions including one that allegedly features Zygarde.

With all the unconfirmed roundups flying around the Pokemon world, everything remains in the state of flux. Until Nintendo and the Pokemon Company clears out the haze in an official announcement, it is reasonable to remain cautious and take everything with a grain of salt.
