Fast cars on steroids, spectacular explosions, sophisticated gadgets, and a handful of exhilarating scenes, the tight friendship and strong family bond have been the central theme of the highly successful Fast and Furious franchise for years. But with Paul Walker's untimely exit from the movie after a car crash, fans and even the people behind the box office hit franchise find it hard to let go of Dominic Toretto's (Vin Diesel) reliable partner and brother-in-law, Brian O'Connor.

However, Lawyer Herald reported that Sean Boswell, played by Lucas Black, is slated to return to the franchise to take over O'Conner's place as Toretto's new buddy after the film was forced to make the character retire from the forthcoming installments following Walker's death.

This, however, contradicts a report by Crossmap about Paul Walker's brother, Cody, reprising his sibling's role in the hope of bringing his legacy until the franchise reaches the 10th and last installment.

How would this new Toretto-Boswell partnership play out in the screen?

The information is quite fluid as of this time. But Black has reportedly signed a contract for the 7th, 8th, and 9th installments as per Parent Herald report. If the report proves accurate, the question looming on everyone's mind is how the relationship between the two characters plays out in the movie? The bond is indisputably strong between Dom and O'Connor as the latter is the former's brother-in-law. The only connection between Dom and Boswell was that the 'Tokyo Drift' hero was the one who told Dom that it was Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) who got Han killed.

Meanwhile, a roundup from Movie News Guide suggests the possibility of Justin Bieber being signed up to the Fast 8 cast to assume the role of Black's younger brother or a sidekick in the forthcoming movie but the production team is yet to confirm the speculation flying around rumor land.
