As MacBook Pro 2016 enthusiasts eagerly wait for Apple's signature laptop's purported release in either June or July, rumors do not seem to die down with more speculations flying around rumor land. This time, though, we see more juicy details surfacing from reportedly reliable insider sources.

Numerous reports seem to strongly suggest that the Silicon Valley giant is gearing up for a major unveiling for its new products in the second quarter with other big tech players like Dell and Lenovo gunning to launch their respective notebook brands around the same time.

A report from Yibada indicates that the MacBook Pro 2016 release would be around June 13 coinciding the June 13-17 World Wide Developers Conference event. Moreover, the device would come in 13-inch and 15-inch variants armed with 6th generation Intel Skylake chipsets giving the laptop an even more powerful performance boost.

In addition, the famed MacBook series will definitely go ultra-thin as more of Apple's tech rivals releasing a slew of even slimmer devices to their lineup. There are also rumors suggesting that MacBook Pro might come out with limited number of USB ports in smaller sizes. According to Christian Times, the 2016 version will reportedly have USB-C type of adapters which is an acknowledgment of the need for users to have connections to multiple drives and other external hardware while keeping up with the ultra-thin trend.

For security purposes, Apple is also speculated to equip the new MacBook with a Touch ID biometric fingerprint sensor similar to the feature seen in its recent iPad and iPhone flagships. Also, if predictions prove accurate, we might even see an external graphics card for enhanced screen resolution plus a base storage offering of 256GB according to Christian Daily.

To back up claims of a possible release this June, some analysts say that big discounts for current MacBook Pro models are intended to make way for the highly anticipated showcase of Apple's new laptop designs this year.
