Jeffrey Dean Morgan will finally appear in the "The Walking Dead", his on-screen debut as iconic villain Negan in "The Walking Dead" comic book Sunday's "hardcore" season six finale.

While everyone is excited and ready to love him in his new role, he too is thrilled but geared up for the hate mail that he is sure he will get.

"I am excited and I am ready," Dean said in a recent interview. "I really can't wait to kind of step into those shoes, and hold that bat, and do my thing. I am looking forward to it. I am fully prepared for hate mail and everything else. So bring it."

It is a challenging role of a fictional psychopath, and he is clearly well suited for Negan's role. Still, his success would be directly proportional to the hate mail that he is aware is going to pout in.

So when Negan walks in, he will heartlessly murder a favourite character in the movie with a barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat, nicknamed "Lucille". Who that murdered character will be is not clear, though.

So the man who will be sent to the Safe-Zone in the sky in the comics is clear, but showrunner Scott M. Gimple has also hinted that they would be tweaking the original story in order to keep their fans guessing. AMC has made it difficult for the media to get the real details, though.

"The Walking Dead" will air its season six finale Sunday on AMC at 9 pm ET.
