Mobile application game 'Pokemon Go' is currently generating a lot of online hype because of its revolutionary promise of re-creating the mobile gaming landscape as well as giving its avid fans a real time world experience through an augmented reality gaming environment.

"For the first time, Pokémon will roam free in the real world. Pokémon GO will allow players to capture Pokémon who inhabit parks, shopping areas, sidewalks and the countryside all around the world. Imagine discovering a Squirtle hiding along the waterfront in San Francisco, a Bulbasaur at Shinjuku Station or a Pikachu beneath the Eiffel Tower," said Niantic founder John Hanke as quoted by PC Advisor.

What started out as an April fool's joke finally became a reality as the Pokemon Company and Google start-up Niantic banded together in its development. As the game nears the final stages of its development, the Pokemon Company and Niantic have given the public some teasers regarding 'Pokemon Go'.

Although no official details have been confirmed as of press time, The Bitbag purportedly stated that the much anticipated mobile game app will slated for release soon- presumably this year.

In addition, MobiPicker revealed that the beta version has already been released in Japan and field tests have reportedly started with field test invites sent to willing participants via email. Eligible participants should be a current resident in Japan owning either a version 4.3 Android device (or higher) or iPhone 5 iOS (or higher).

The game is expected to be rolled out in two waves according to swirling rumors. The first roll out is scheduled to take place in North America, Japan and Europe. The second wave is slated to hit Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East.

Meanwhile, other reports have recently claimed that a brand new Nintendo device will be offered to users shortly after the launch of 'Pokemon Go'. The mobile device is reportedly called the Pokemon Go Plus which enables users to play the game without using their Android smart phones or iPhones.
