The sixth season of much-acclaimed fantasy drama "Game of Thrones" is all set to air from April 24, 2016 and HBO has released the trailer.

It is being received with great enthusiasm by the huge fan base and as per reports, it has generated a record-breaking 30 million views within the first 24 hours of release.

Narrated by the menacing and mysterious Tyrion Lannister, the trailer gives a sound peek into what viewers can expect in the upcoming season. Indicating more chilling bloodbaths and battles, the Halfman refers to the great game that will be played out with all the notorious twists and turns as the aspirants of the throne get ready to battle it out in the arena.

Terrifying to a T, the 30-second trailer does bring back some of the old footages, but it also has new shots that are no less exciting, according to sources. Added to Tyrion's call is High Sparrow's sinister warning to Cersei Lannister which says everyone is a sinful creature and deserves death. Next comes the shot of her incestuous brother Jamie, possibly to suggesting an imminent death for him.

The awe-inspiring dragons also make an entry, flying over the mammoth army of Queen Daenerys Targaryen, solidifying her power and presence in the battleground. Another shot veers to the blind Ayra Stark, who is being prophesized by the Faceless Man about the ways of the Many-Faced God. He tells her that a new gift is in the offing and a face will be added to the hole.

Next, her younger brother Bran, who was last seen as paralyzed, is seen standing in the snow and then confronts The Night's King, who attacks him, grabbing his arm, at which point the trailer comes to an end.

With so many scared faces, death warnings, intriguing drama and terrifying voices in the background; it is no wonder fans are super thrilled at the prospect of a scintillating sixth season that is sure to prove memorable, like the last ones.
