Brussels Attack Update: Wireless Carriers offer Free Calls and Texts, Post Brussels Attack

Many major wireless carriers are now offering free voice calling and texts in and out of Brussels after Islamic state terrorists attacked a major metro station based outside Zaventem airport in Brussels that killed more than thirty people injuring more than three hundred of innocent civilians.

The companies participating include major American tele networking giants AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Virgin mobile USA and Boost. AT&T specifically mentioned about crediting both landline and wireless customers for texts and calls outside from the United States to Belgium from March 22 to 28.

"Our thoughts are with the people of Belgium and our customers who have their friends and families there" a statement from AT&T read. TELUS are also waiving roaming and text message charges for users connecting to and fro Brussels through April 05. The chargers are set to be credited to users' bills in the future, a spokesperson said.

Both Sprint, Sprint prepaid, Boost mobile, and Virgin mobile USA customers who have friends and families in Belgium will not be required to pay for voice and text message facilities while roaming internationally in Belgium. Sprint however are also waiving international text messages and calls from the United States to Belgium throughout March 31.

The CEO of Sprint in a statement spoke about extremely difficult times for many of their customers having loved ones in Belgium and need to constantly keep in touch. He also mentioned about what they could do as a matter of support to comfort Sprint customers.

The CEOs of all major tele networking services showed their sympathy towards the Brussels terror attacks that shook entire Europe especially in times of reigning refugee migrant crisis. Verizon are offering wireless and wireline calling for the people in the United States, Belgium and also Turkey given the recent attack in Istanbul.
