Even after Windows Preview public launch, Cortana integration on desktop remains due. However, a new video leak shows the Cortana running on Windows 10 in pre-release mode.

Windows fan site WinBeta got their hands on a leaked build of Windows 10 running Cortana.

The site reports that Cortana can do pretty much everything the Windows Phone version can; including reminders, calling people on Skype, location access, play pause music, launch apps, check the weather and more.

According to the video, much of the functionality has already been implemented. However, goofy queries like "who are you" and "tell me joke" haven't been implemented.

WinBeta noted that although at moment, Cortana lacks personality on Windows 10, it's very certain that it will attain one before it is rolled out to the public.

Another feature pending is hands free way of activating Cortana.

Recently Microsoft released Cortana in France, Italy, Germany and Spain.

Cortana can be asked Christmas related things such as if it likes Christmas or any of the following holiday-related questions:

  • Do you like Christmas?
  • Happy Christmas!
  • Tell me a Christmas Cracker Joke
  • Do you want anything from Santa?
  • On the first day of Christmas
  • Humbug!
  • Do you want anything from Santa?
  • Happy Hanukkah
  • Happy Kwanzaa
  • Happy holidays
