Season 6 of HBO's "Game of Thrones" series is reported to showcase the biggest battle sequence it has shown so far.

In the past 50 episodes, the Emmy-award winning series has brought forth many large scale battle sequences. However, Bryan Cogman, the writer/producer of the show, stated that Season 6 will feature the biggest action sequence yet.

According to reports, Cogman has revealed that in comparison to the battles featured in episodes named, "Blackwater", "Watchers on the Wall" and "Hardhome", the battle featured in Season 6 will be bigger in terms of time, budget, story and resources used. "Blackwater" featured the Stannis Baratheon's effort to seize King's Landing while the "Watchers on the Wall" portrayed the attack on Castle Black by the wildlings. The episode called "Hardhome" in the penultimate Season featured the attack made by the White Walkers on the wildlings. Cogman's revelation has led to speculation regarding the armies involved in the upcoming battle.

The questions surrounding the two armies involved leads to many possibilities. Admires across the world have identified many battle-ready groups who have reasons to engage in battle following the events that occurred in the penultimate Season. The first among these are the Lannisters and the Dornish where the Lannisters seek to avenge the capture of their kin. Following Jaime Lannister's inability to rescue Cercei Lannister's daughter, the latter is expected to seek revenge through violence. It is also speculated that the Lannisters might battle the High Sparrow's army to reclaim King's Landing. However, this is considered unlikely as the High Sparrow's army could not be large enough to justify the magnitude of the promised battle.

The second possibility is a battle between Daenerys Targaryen and her former faction, the Dothraki. The Unsullied, her faithful followers, might battle against the Dothraki faction led by a new leader.

The answers will only be revealed during the much awaited premiere of Season 6 that is slated to begin from 24th April, 2016.
