Google Nexus tablet line will most likely be announced soon, at least that's what the rumors have to say. According to the internet buzz, Google will announce its next line of tablets in annual I/O Developers conference scheduled for May 18. The gadget lovers are eagerly awaiting what is to be unveiled at the sought after event.

Tech enthusiasts are gearing up to know more about the technical specs of the much awaited tablet, Nexus 7. To complement the upcoming Nexus 7, a corresponding Android OS will be expected to launch at the same time, known as Android N or version 7.0.

Rumor has been rife since last year regarding Google's forthcoming tablet, that Huawei will be roped in as a builder. Looking at the design elements of Nexus 6P, the new tablet may feature a metal and glass body which can be a paradigm shift from the previous two versions of Nexus. Nexus 7 may even feature premium packaging to complement the hardware specs that are expected to compete with Apple's iPad and Samsung's Galaxy Tab.

If indeed it is Huawei that will manufacture the new Nexus 7 range, then it is likely for it to be powered inside by a Kirin processing chip. However, Android fans would rather see a Snapdragon processor 810 or 820, preferably latter.

As this year big companies such as Apple, Microsoft and Samsung are all geared up in terms of better design and technology for gadgets this year and years to come, Google is under immense pressure to make a buzz with its Nexus tablet.

For Nexus 7 to make the cut in a highly competitive market, Google will have to provide same specs as the likes of iPad Pro, if not better.
