Finally, a new U.S. Gallup poll indicates that more people from the U.S. are concerned about global warming now than before. They are aware that people tend to drive climate change.

Through telephone interviews with about 1,019 adults aged 18 and older living in the U.S. and the District of Columbia, there were reported margins of sampling error with some "computed design effects for weighting."

About 64 percent of Americans say that they are worried a "great deal" or a "fair amount" about global warming,

shows the poll.  They are taking climate change more seriously than at any other time in the past eight years.

The latest results are probably due to last winter, which was said to be one of the warmest. Gallup showed that the number of Americans who believe that the impact of global warming has already started shows a slight increase.

About 41 percent of Americans, compared to 37 percent last year, are also concerned that it will impact their lives.

About 65 percent of the people from the U.S. indicate that humans, rather than natural causes, have created the changes in the earth's temperature, which is four points more than the earlier 61 percent in 2007.

The change of heart in the Americans is important when we realise the value of putting policy changes in place, which will help the world to move forward. The awareness is important, in order to take the entire planet towards a world with more action.

Last February, the temperatures indicated a high amount of warmth. While the western regions were warm, with eight states showing the maximum temperatures. In the winter, the temperature was 2.1 degrees above the average in the 20th century.
