For sure Carmelo Anthony will play for the knicks until the end of this season. The Knicks best scorer Anthony is averaging 21.7 points a game in his 13th NBA season, and Knicks will be out of the playoffs for the third consecutive year. Surely, this won't make him too happy and lead him to consider moving to another team that can bring him the NBA championship ring.

The 31-year-old Anthony has a no-trade clause in his contract and has been adamant that he will stay with the Knicks for the long term and will try to find a way to bring the ring to the team. Anthony also said he rather win one championship with the Knicks than winning multiple rings with different team.

But it's more than him trying to figure out where he went wrong in his career. Many speculate that Knicks wants to move away from Anothy starting pretty soon. The Knicks can eventually rebuild around a young superstar in Porzingis while Anthony can go to contending team to chase his dream.

However, there's a speculation that Anthony cannot leave New York because of his family and especially his wife, who doesn't want to move out from New York.

Whatever decision is made plenty of teams will want Anthony to join there team. "There is a market. He's still a star player. They could get a starter and a first-round draft pick and whatever else needed to make the salaries work," one Eastern exec said, as reported by the New York Post.

"Realistically, I wouldn't say a young stud but maybe a solid player and a pick. I could see a good team doing that for Carmelo. A bad team won't want to part with a high lottery pick," said one NBA general manager.

Lately, Anthony made the buzz when he responded to a heckling fan which happened when the New York Knicks were defeated to the Portland Trail Blazers, 104-85.
