Jimmy Fallon, the "Tonight Show" host, became a dad for the second time Wednesday and the baby must be lucky for the chatty host as the birth coincided with Fallon being named the "Entertainer of the year" by Entertainment Weekly.

Weighing 5 pounds and 11 ounces, the baby arrived at 8:45 am. The happy parents christened the girl Frances Cole Fallon. The little bundle of joy joins older sister Winnie Rose, 1. Both the children were born via surrogate.

Entertainment Weekly thought it obvious to name Fallon the entertainer of 2014. In just his first year, Fallon managed to create pop-culture memories bringing several celebrities and unleashing several interesting games like "the Lip Sync battle," which now is being rolled out into its own series altogether. Even Barbara Streisand, who never made a second trip on any show in over 50 years, came back to "The Tonight Show" just because of the fun quotient it had.

The show's ratings also shot up considerably when compared to the time when Jay leno was hosting it.

But Fallon credited the success of the show to the whole Tonight Show team.

"We honestly have the best human beings for this job possible. They're bleeding for the show. Everybody's at their A game," Fallon said.

In fact, the year has been pretty good for Fallon. In a previous interview with People Magazine, Fallon gushed about his amazing year has been and how fatherhood changed his life.

"This has been the craziest year of my life. But being a father is the most exciting, amazing thing that ever happened to me. And everything's going well on the show. My life has never been this cool."

Indeed, Fallon became a father for the first time after struggling with infertility for five long years. Although he and his wife Nancy Juvonen tried to conceive several time, they weren't successful. However, surrogacy came to the rescue and now the couple has another bundle of joy to celebrate.
