Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina is being accused of "ambushing" a group of young children in Iowa in order to bring them to her pro-life rally.

The Guardian reported that Fiorina led a group of preschoolers away from their field trip at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden on Wednesday so that they can sit right in the front of her while she talked about the "Right to Life."

During the rally, Fiorina discussed Planned Parenthood and the claims that the organization was collecting organs from aborted fetuses before a crowd of about 60 people.

One father was upset about the entire situation, stating that he would not have wanted his son at the rally and that none of the parents were asked to approve it.

"Taking them into a pro-life/abortion discussion [was] very poor taste and judgment. I would not want my four-year-old going to that forum," Chris Beck told The Guardian. "He can't fully comprehend that stuff. He likes dinosaurs, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Transformers."

Beck added that "after today, she wouldn't get [his] vote for sure."

Fiorina's spokesman stated at the time, "We were happy that these children chose to come to Carly's event with their adult supervisor."

After the reports came in, the campaign sent out this statement:

"Carly has kids at her speeches on a regular basis. In Des Moines yesterday, a group of preschoolers along with their parents and teachers followed Carly right into the event she was speaking at for Iowa Right to Life. Earlier, she'd run into the kids in the Botanical Gardens and watched the Koi with them for a while. I guess the kids must have thought she was pretty neat because then their teachers and parents and the kids all followed Carly into the event complete with Carly stickers."

Fiorina is polling at around three percent.
