Taylor Swift made the Christmas of a cancer-stricken fan extra special by paying a surprise visit in the hospital.

After five years of waiting since she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, Delany Clements finally got her wish when the 1989 singer meet her one Saturday afternoon at her home in Grand Junction, Colorado, according to People.

In her Instagram post, the 13-year old cancer patient posted a selfie of her and the songstress and shared that she was 'literally speechless' further calling Tay her 'new best friend.'

Literally speechless right now!!!!! My new best friend (as I call her now) made a special stop from going home to Tennessee and surprised me and gave me the best present/ hugg ever!! Thank you !! I love you!! Happy holidays!!" she wrote on her social media page.

Delany further posted how happy she were when the songstress walked into her room and brighten her day.

"Taylor Swift walked into my bedroom and spent the afternoon with me just talking and hanging!!!!I am beyond Blessed for everyone's help and support!!!" the fan wrote as mentioned in NY Daily News.

The 26-year old singer also posted a selfie on her social media captioning the photo, "Merry Christmas Baby."

Since her 2010 diagnosis, Delany and her mom Wendy Clements have been promoting the hashtag #DelaneyMeetTaylor on Twitter to get Swift's attention, E! Online said.

However, the jovial tone was a bit tampered when Wendy Clements posted thanking everyone who journeys with her daughter in a condition 'hard to avoid.'

"We are so blessed to be surrounded with so many wonderful people who love and care for us and forever grateful for all the support we have received over the past five years. Our goal now is to keep Delaney as comfortable as possible and keep her spirits uplifted as she travels on a journey we fought so hard to avoid," Wendy shared on Facebook.
