Will a 6-inch phablet feature in the Galaxy S7 lineup? New reports suggest a monster variant of Samsung's next flagship will dwarf its other devices.

According to GSM Arena, renders from an accessories maker reveal two devices in the offing. While the smaller device is similar to Galaxy S6, measuring 143.37 x 70.8 x 6.94 mm, the other device would measure 163.32 x 82.01 x 7.82mm, indicating the coming a 6-inch phone that would dwarf the current crop of products including the 5.7-inch Note phablets.

Two deviations from the Galaxy S6 noted from the renders including changes to the location of SIM slot and the rectangular home button. The home button, with its rounded edges, was characteristic of Galaxy phones which Samsung could shed next year.

Other rumors suggest Galaxy S7 could be powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC that could break and set clock speed records, reports Computer World. It is anybody's guess why Samsung would opt for Snapdragon over its own Exynos.

One guess is competition with Apple might be pushing the South-Korean smartphone giant to opt for the fastest processors out there. Device heating however is an issue that Samsung is reportedly working on.

Enthusiasts have also suggested that the next Galaxy device could be priced reasonable to help Samsung win a large customer base.
