Microsoft Xbox One users can preload one of the most highly anticipated games of the year, Fallout 4. Developer Bethesda announced that users can download the game on their consoles so that once the game is officially released, users can play immediately.

Bethesda announced on Oct. 23 that Fallout 4 has gone gold, which means that the development for the game has finished, making it ready for manufacturing. Several reports believed that Fallout 4 was completed before the gold announcement, but instead of moving on to the production stage, Bethesda decided to use the extra time to work on even more improvements.

The company had tweeted that all 27 versions have been completed on all platforms.

PC users who buy the digital copy must remember that they have to download a portion of the game from stream. Pete Hines tweeted that there will be a stream authentication key on the hard copy of the game because the disc cannot carry the entire game.

Fallout 4 is set in a post-apocalyptic world that is 200 years ahead of a nuclear war. The goal of the game is to survive and rebuild the community. Here is the latest promo trailer:

The developers have hinted that the game will feature more than 400 hours of content and about 111,000 lines of dialogue. The official release date for the game, announced by Bethesda is:

"Digitally the game [Fallout 4] will become available on November 10, 2015, at 12:01 am (local time) in all territories (In North America, the unlock time will be 12:01 am EST), except Asia (available at 12 am on Wednesday, November 11th) and Japan (available at 12 am on Thursday, December 17th)."

Fallout 4 can be played on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Aside from the game being completed, Bethesda also announced that they have teamed up with Carlsberg to make a Fallout beer.
