*Spoilers Ahead*

"The Walking Dead" is not afraid to kill off major characters and according to the rumors, fans of the show might see the end of at least one major character by the end of the season.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, this might be Glenn (Steven Yeun) and/or Abraham's (Michael Cudlitz) last season. CDL reported that after the group, who has settled into Alexandria Safe-Zone, deals with the barbaric group known as The Wolves, the comic book character, Dwight should be introduced. His character would then signify "a huge step toward the highly anticipated arrival of Negan."

For viewers who do not know the comic book plot, Negan is one of the worst villains that Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) group encounters. Dwight is a member of Negan's group known as the Saviors. In the comics, Negan is the one who violently kills Glenn with a bat and Dwight is the one who kills Abraham with his crossbow.

Lincoln previously talked about Negan in February.

"There are astonishingly brilliant and thrilling characters that I am convinced we would be idiots not to meet in our journey; I would be very surprised if we don't see Negan on the horizon in the not-too-distant future," Lincoln said.

In regards to the potential new characters, CDL added:

"We have already learned that Jesus has been cast and will be arriving in future episodes - a big sign of Negan and his Saviors. The Hilltop Colony set has also been constructed and appears to be ready for filming as we discovered. However, the rumor that sealed the deal was a casting call for a man who fits the bill of the TWD villain perfectly."

Deadline reported in September that Tom Payne will be playing Paul "Jesus" Monroe (IMDB has Payne billed for episodes 10 to 16 of season 6). In the comics, Jesus moves into Alexandria Safe-Zone after leaving another group known as the Hilltop Colony. Despite being very well adapted to the new world, Jesus is still a very logical person who has a strong sense of morals and values. He becomes a vital member of Rick's group, especially prior to the showdown between the group and the Saviors. Jesus is still alive in the comics.

Two major deaths this season would be heartbreaking. However, based from the rumors, Negan will most likely be introduced in the season 6 finale, which would at least give us a few more episodes with Glenn, unless the producers decide to change up the plot and keep Glenn alive.

"The Walking Dead" has diverged from the comics in the previous seasons. For example, the show killed off Andrea, a character who is still alive in the comics.

"The Walking Dead" airs on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
