Former NBA player Lamar Odom, who is slowly recovering from his drug overdose, has received a lot of support from his family and friends from the league.

Although having a good support system can be very important, Metta World Peace, who has played with Odom, voiced his opinions about the number of celebrities, particularly the Kardashians, who have been visiting him.

"The only Kardashian that needs to be there is Khloe," the 35-year-old Laker said to the Los Angeles Daily News. "Not every Kardashian needs to be around. They need to keep it simple, so Lamar's children can see him whenever they want to see him. They're waiting in line to see their own father."

Odom, 35, is still legally married to reality TV star, Khloe Kardashian. Although Khloe and Odom have signed their divorce papers, the divorce has not been finalized because a judge still has not signed off on it yet.

When news of his hospitalization surfaced Tuesday, Khloe and the majority of her family, which included mother Kris Jenner and sisters, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, all flew to Las Vegas to be by Odom's side. Odom was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel last Tuesday.

World Peace made his comments one day after Kim posted a picture of her with Odom on her Instagram. Her caption revealed that she and Kendall were able to get Odom to smile after he came out of his coma.

Kim's caption read: "I have faith in you. I believe in the power of prayer and positive energy! Thank you all for your prayers! Lammy- I'm so happy Kendall & I could make you smile today! God is good!"

"This is nothing against Khloe," World Peace added. "This is for the celebrities that are coming to see Lamar. They should know they're taking away from Lamar's children."

Even though World Peace claims that Odom's family should come first, he praised fellow teammate, Kobe Bryant and Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak for visiting Odom. Clippers' players Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan all visited Odom last week.

Former Laker Luke Walton, who is the interim head coach for the Golden State Warriors, and World Peace's brother, Daniel, also had plans to visit Odom.

Odom is receiving medical care at the Sunrise Hospital and Medical center and has reportedly starting physical therapy.
