Drake and Serena Williams Relationship News: Rapper Not Serious about Tennis Champion, Says he Wants a Girl from Toronto

Drake has one requirement for his future wife and Serena Williams does not meet it.

The 28-year-old Canadian rapper revealed in a recent interview with W magazine's Arts Issue that in order for him to get down on one knee and pop the question, his girl must be from his country.

"Most people I know stay in Toronto. I plan to spend the rest of my life there. The talk, the smell, the sound that comes out of that city is home to me," Drake said. "When I think about the girls I want to get romantic with, it's a girl from Toronto who knows what I'm talking about when we drive around the city."

It seems like the 33-year-old tennis champion, who is from Compton, California, does not have a chance at all. On top of this requirement, Drake reportedly will want his mother's approval, even if he does not want to admit that he is a mama's boy.

"Sandi [Graham] is the first and only woman in Drake's life," a source said via HollywoodLife.com. "And in her mind, no woman is good enough to marry her son. That's one of the reasons why Drake has commitment issues. [Sandi] has been pumping up his ego since the day he was born, telling him how 'perfect' and how 'amazing' he is."

These commitment issues appear to be the main reason why Drake has not been able to exclusively date Williams.

"They are still a thing," another HollywoodLife.com source said. "But he is also not committed to only her and enjoys the variety life brings in the women department. He will always be a player first. But don't tell her [Serena] that, because she wants to hang out with him more and more, especially since she has taken off time from tennis."

Drake and Williams were spotted making out at a restaurant back in August. Since then, Drake has been seen supporting Williams at the US Open and at her fashion show during New York Fashion Week. Williams returned the favor when she was seen at Drake's restaurant opening in Toronto.

The two, who has already been subjected to engagement rumors, has not commented on the status of their relationship.

Williams was most recently linked to her coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, prior to Drake.
