Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise Update: Actress reportedly wants more Money for Daughter Suri
Katie Holmes is reportedly preparing to ask for more money from her ex-husband, Tom Cruise. According to the rumors, the 36-year-old actress wants more money for their nine-year-old daughter, Suri.
"Katie's told friends she intends to pursue this as she's struggling to fund a bi-coastal lifestyle for Suri, who's privately educated," an insider told Britain's Grazia magazine via Belfast Telegraph. "Lately Katie's been acting in low-budget films that don't tend to pay as well, so she's resolved to get Tom to pay more towards Suri's upkeep."
The rumors added that Holmes wanted to ask for money earlier but had to wait till three years after their divorce was settled due to a clause in their papers. Cruise reportedly already pays around $33,000 a month to support Suri,
"As Suri gets older, Katie believes the figure is less adequate to fulfilling her needs, and for being a single parent and sole care-giver," the source continued.
Holmes allegedly asked her father, Martin who is a lawyer, to help her with the case, which will not be easy.
"Tom has let it be known that he contests Katie's financial demands, and is determined to challenge her," another source said. "He tends to do whatever it takes to get his way."
Holmes has sole custody of Suri.
In other news, Holmes is still rumored to be in a relationship with Jamie Foxx. The latest stories are claiming that the couple have plans to wed and start a family.
"While Katie and Jamie have tried to keep their romance on the down-low since her split from Tom, they're soon going to be ready to make it public," a source said reported by Classicalite.com. "They plan to begin living together at Jamie's palatial estate in Westlake Village (Calif.), and want to start a family so Suri can have another brother or sister. She's already become a 'sister' to Jamie's 7-year-old daughter Annalise from a past relationship."
Despite the legal issues, Holmes and Cruise might be spending Halloween together for Suri's sake.
