Kazakh boxer Gennady Golovkin, known as Triple G, wants to fight the retired Floyd Mayweather.

Triple G answered a few questions with TMZ Sports. When asked if Mayweather could be his next opponent, Triple G said. "I hope...I'm ready for him."

The reporter than asked if Triple G would consider fighting Manny Pacquiao next if the Mayweather fight cannot be arranged.

"I think it's impossible," the current WBA (super) and IBO middleweight champion replied. "Manny's too small."

Before he can even have the chance to fight anyone else, Triple G must first get through David Lemieux next weekend and then think of some way to convince Mayweather to come out of retirement.

Mayweather retired after defeating Andre Berto in September. Even though Mayweather has stated that he does not plan on returning to the game, many people are speculating that he will come out of retirement within the near future to get win No. 50.

Triple G and Lemieux's match is expected to be very explosive since both boxers pack quite a powerful punch.

"In one word: finally," K2 Promotions managing director Tim Loeffler said to ESPN.com back in July. "We've gone to great lengths to try to put unification fights together for Gennady. We have to give Lemieux and Golden Boy a lot of credit for stepping up to the plate. Gennady will not underestimate Lemieux. He is the biggest puncher he will have ever faced, and Gennady will be the biggest puncher Lemieux will have ever faced.

Loeffler added, "It is a great unification fight between two champions and the two biggest punchers in the middleweight division. If Lemieux wins, he takes over the spot as the best middleweight in the world, and if Gennady wins, he stays the best middleweight in the world."

The bout will take place on Oct. 17 at Madison Square Garden in New York.
