Good news for Google Nexus users! The latest Android 6.0 is available to its users while the other manufacturers are yet to get a taste of Android marshmallows! HTC and Motorola, although, have confirmed that their OS upgrade is also just round the corner. More planned updates will also be rolled out soon, says Wired. With the latest Marshmallow update, the users will be able to enjoy enhanced battery life with promised 30% increase in standby battery. There will also be new privacy control settings that will inhibit the access of apps to some specific features. The users can also activate the Google Now on Tap, a pop up window, that provides extra information about what the user is reading, listening or writing. You can activate the feature by long pressing the home key.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow was announced on September 29th along with release of new handsets by Google, Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. The update will be available to the other nexus users by the end of next week, confirmed Google. Once all the bugs have been ironed out of the beta version, the final update will be made available to the users, says Android Pit.

At the moment, the 6.0 version only exists in the developer mode, says Android Central. However, with the initial release, users can get a fair idea about what the update has in store for them. The developers say that it's the small things that are coming with this latest upgrade that the people will appreciate. Fingerprint sensors, Google Now granular context feature, app permissions individually etc. They are also reviewing other features like Chrome, and better communication between apps amongst other things.

With the latest version, the users will be able to switch between their old phones and new phones in a breeze. You will be able to setup your phone from your Android TV as well, as per official Android Blog.
