The "Fast and Furious" franchise will end after movie number 10.

Vin Diesel, who stars as Dominic Toretto, revealed in a post on his Facebook page that the franchise would be ending with a trilogy.

"Universal has been so good to me and so trusting of the vision... they have been like family," Diesel wrote. "I promised the studio I would deliver one last Trilogy to end the saga."

Diesel also addressed the directing situation for "Fast 8." According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is having a difficult time finding a director after James Wan, who directed "Furious 7" and Justin Lin, turned down the job. Even though Diesel does not reference the report, he hints in his post that THR's article was not all true.

"My producing partner Neal [Moritz] would love for me to just sign off on a director, but this is too special a franchise, so these matters have to be very carefully handled," Diesel wrote. "To be clear, NO ONE has been offered to helm Fast 8 yet... let alone seen a script."
