Scott Stapp, the frontman of rock band "Creed" claims he is broke and is apparently living in a cheap Holiday Inn hotel.

Stapp posted a 15-minute video on his Facebook page addressing the drug-abuse and death rumors. He called the stories false and said that he was "sober as can be."

Stapp also said that he has been taking regular blood and urine tests to prove his sobriety in case someone calls out on him. He, however, added that he was facing some different kind of troubles and was under "some kind of pretty vicious attack."

The 41-year-old rocker told his fans that "all hell broke loose" when he started an audit of his record company and his personal finances. He found that people had taken advantage of him and stolen money from him. Royalties haven't been paid for his work either.

"There's people who have taken advantage and stolen money from me, and they're trying to discredit me, slander me, and I've even been threatened that if I went public like I'm doing right now, that any impropriety I've done in the past, that these individuals can get their hands to humiliate and embarrass me and try to ruin my credibility," he said.

In the video, he also disclosed that the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has frozen his bank accounts, leaving him "completely penniless."

"I don't even understand that and why this is all happening at the same time. When I called to find out why they said, 'Oh, we had an address mix up. It was a clerical error. So we'll return your funds in nine to 10 months.' I don't understand how that's fair in America," he added.

Stapp also revealed his dire conditions.

"Right now, I'm living in a Holiday Inn by the grace of God, because there's been a couple of weeks that I've had to sleep in my truck. I had no money-not even for gas, or food-and I went two days without eating because I had no money, and ended up in an emergency room," he said.

After discussing some more of his problems, Stapp finally said:

"The truth will prevail. The truth will come out...I love you all, man."

Things have been going downhill for Stapp for a while now. Last week, Stapp's wife Jaclyn filed for divorce from the singer and claimed full custody of their two children. She accused Stapp of being paranoid to an extent that he could hurt the family, The Huffington Post reports.
