A New York couple received an unexpected genetic lottery after giving birth to identical triplets, which was a one-in-50 million possibility, according to Fox News.

On July 1, Jason and Kelli Fenley had the triple whammy---Miles, Owen and Noah. Their birth got announced at a conference in the Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola on Thursday.

All the boys were born premature, with each weighing under three pounds, and were caught in intensive care for about 51 days.

"Some people hit the money lottery. We hit the genetic lottery and we couldn't be happier," said Jason.

The couple agreed that it had been an intense experience, with 40 people in the room even as Kelli gave birth, said the New York Daily News  reported.

A color system helped to differentiate them. "We color-code them," said Kelli, according to ABC News. "Owen is blue, Noah is gray and Miles is green. We dress them in that color, and paint their toenails that particular color."

They are still on a hospital-created schedule, "including bathing them every other night, feeding them every three hours, and putting them down for naps immediately after they eat".

A big brother two-year-old Aiden, went on to make them a family of six.

"It's going to be an adventure," said Jason, according to hngn. "It's going to be fun."
