Maddie Brown, the daughter of polygamist Kody Brown and second wife Janelle Brown from "Sister Wives," is engaged to Caleb Brush.

Brown, 19, gave details about her proposal to PEOPLE.

"It was cold and we were huddled in jackets and I thought he was crazy to stop," Brown said. "He said to come look over here. So I walked with him to the edge. He told me he could never express how much he loved me, but he wanted to spend his life trying, and went down in one knee and pulled out a box."

Brush, 28, had surprised Brown with a blue diamond ring after he asked her father for permission. Even though the happy couple just got engaged, Brown revealed that they have already thought about the wedding.

"We are making plans for a wonderful outdoor wedding, hopefully in the country," she said to PEOPLE.

She also posted a shot of her ring on Instagram.

Brush added that they do not plan on following in the footsteps of Brown’s parents when it comes to their marriage lifestyle.

"We are not living plural marriage," Brush, who repairs equipment in mines, said. "We support Maddie's family with their choice of living plural marriage and they support us with our choice in just marrying each other."

"Love is in the air for Sister Wives' daughter Maddie who is newly engaged to fiance Caleb Brush!" the network confirmed. "And, despite growing up in a polygamist family, Maddie and Caleb are opting to have a monogynous marriage."

Brown’s father, Kody, currently have four wives, Meri, Janelle, Christine and Robyn. Kody is legally married to Robyn, who is expecting a child early next year. The baby will be Kody’s second with Robyn and Robyn’s fifth overall. Kody also has child with Meri, six with Janelle and six with Christine.

“Sister Wives” will return on Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on TLC.
