The selling point of E.L James 2011 bestselling erotic romance novel 'Fifty shades of grey' is its fierce sadism/masochism (S&M) erotic scenes that sent the world talking about it. Conservatives to liberals were all expressing their opinions on the book's bold erotica and the intensely consuming storyline. The story at its base, traces the deep and dark relationship that builds between a business tycoon Christian Grey and a coy college graduate Anastasia Steele, bordering on S&M.

The movie's adaptation of the book did not entirely live up to the expectations of the fans post its release. It was received with mixed reactions, as is the case when books are turned into movies but also because of the controversies battling between the erotic and romantic appeal of the story.

In the case of Fifty Shades, dulling the erotica to make the R rating, removed the very essence of the story that the book was built on. But Sam Taylor-Johnson, Director of Fifty Shades of Grey nevertheless went ahead and got it down to an R rating rather than the NC-17, to forego limited release, reports MoviePilot.

Now with the sequel 'Fifty Shades Darker' set to be released in February 2017, and a change of director to James Foley - fan are mulling over how the movie will turn out to be, claims MoviePilot. The second volume to the hit erotic series is said to be on similar lines, but with the first movie not living up to the hype, is the sequel already set to disappoint fans?

All ears and eyes are now open, keen to know how James Foley is going to take the Fifty Shades forward and what spin he is going to add to this controversial drama. Famed for his 'House of Cards' Series, Foley is known for his fair share of twists and turns. But whether his directorial style will work in Fifty Shades Darker's favor? - is yet to be ascertained. Just got to wait and see.
