"Winds of Winter," the sixth book in George R.R. Martin's seven-book series, "A Song of Ice and Fire," will definitely be coming out sometime next year.

According to a Spanish editor, Alejo Cuervo, the manuscript for the book, which the HBO drama, "Games of Thrones," is based on, will be published in Spanish next year. Cuervo of Ediciones Gigamesh stated that they will get the manuscript sometime before the English version comes out. For more information on his interview, visit this previous News Everyday article.

While fans continue to wait for an official release date, Martin took some time off to film for Syfy's "Zombie Nation." Martin will be playing an undead version of himself in the eighth episode of season two, which just premiered. In the released promo picture, a zombie Martin is holding onto a book titled, "A Promise of Spring," which refers to his seventh book, "A Dream of Spring."

"I just want to prove to my fans that even in the Zombie Apocalypse, the Song of Ice and Fire books will still come out!" Martin said.

Meanwhile, "Games of Thrones" season six is currently being filmed. It is unclear whether or not this upcoming season will follow any of Martin's vision since the series is also up-to-date with the books. The show, however, has departed from a lot of the books' plots already.

Season six of "Games of Thrones" is expected to premiere sometime next spring. Fans are hoping that the book will come out before then.
