Now that Henry Cavill has dispelled rumors that he will be playing Jack Hyde in "Fifty Shades Darker," the highly anticipated sequel to the erotica movie "Fifty Shades of Grey," the rumors have moved on to Ian Somerhalder and Theo James.

According to the fans, Somerhalder, who is known for his role as Damon Salvatore on CW's hit show, "Vampire Diaries," would be perfect as Hyde, Anastasia Steele's (Dakota Johnson) boss. On "Vampire Diaries," Somerhalder played a mysterious dark character, which could come in handy if he were to play Hyde.

While some fans are sold on Somerhalder, others are hoping that the role will go to "Divergent" star, Theo James. James recently was the star of the Hugo Boss' perfume campaign. In the shots, James suited up, causing many to find resemblances between him and the movie.

Even though both actors would give the role justice, there is no word at all about who is the frontrunner to play Hyde. Aside from Hyde, the movie has yet to cast Elena Lincoln/ Mrs. Robinson and Leila Williams. Since Universal Pictures just hired James Foley as their director, they might be casting the other roles very soon.

Production is expected to start in February. Johnson recently spoke about working on the second movie with Foley.

"It's quite exciting. There was a moment of being afraid, because I didn't know what it was going to be like. I had an experience with Sam [Taylor-Johnson] and then that all went away. Now I'm excited. I think James is a talented filmmaker. How often do you get to reconvene with the same people and have a different spin?" Johnson said.

The "Fifty Shades" movies are based on E.L. James' book series with the same titles. The series follows the relationship between Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Steele. In the first movie, Grey tries to get Steele to agree to be his sexual submissive. (Spoilers Alert*) Steele ended up deciding that she did not want to be involved with his world of BDSM at the end of the movie. They are expected to find their way back to one another in the second movie.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 10, 2017.
