Saudi King Salman touched down in the US to a grand DC hotel called the Four Seasons. It was a huge 222-room hotel. He brought his own gold furniture with him, to make things comfortable for his team.

He visited President Barack Obama on Friday.

The Four Seasons Hotel had everything that the king of an oil-rich nation needed, including gold furniture everywhere, according to msn.

"Everything is gold," says one Four Seasons regular, who spied the deliveries arriving at the hotel. "Gold mirrors, gold end tables, gold lamps, even gold hat racks."

Moreover, there were red carpets at every spot that the king could walk on---"in the parking garage, the hallways, everywhere, so that the royal and his family do not have to step on asphalt," according to the Politico.

There was a fleet of black Mercedes when he alighted on Joint Base Andrews just outside D.C. He will be using all of them during his three-day visit that included the 79-year-old's entourage including Saudi diplomats, family members and assistants.
