‘Sense 8’ Season 2: Will the Romance Die between Kala and Wolfgang?

Fans cannot wait until the Netflix original sci-fi series, "Sense8," created by J. Michael Stracynski and the Wachowskis, returns. While fans wait for a season two premiere date to be announced, they have been busy predicting what might happen.

One plot line that has been discussed a lot this summer is the relationship between two members of the cluster, Kala and Wolfgang.

In season one, while the eight characters, who are all from different parts of the world, are realizing that they are connected to one another, Kala and Wolfgang start to develop a strong romantic tie. Kala, who is engaged to Rajan and lives in India, cannot explain why she is so drawn to Wolfgang, a thief from Berlin, Germany.

Despite never meeting in person, the chemistry between the two was strong enough to make Kala question her engagement even more. Their relationship, however, became jeopardized toward the end of the season when Kala witnessed Wolfgang's violent side. Now that she has seen what Wolfgang can do - he murdered his uncle, cousin and all of their bodyguards to protect his best friend Felix - fans are wondering if she will indeed marry Rajan.

Rajan could also reject Kala in season two after Kala told Rajan that his father wanted her to end the engagement.

Aside from Kala's love struggles, fans can expect new sensates to appear in season 2. Stracynski hinted that not everyone that the current cluster meets will be good.

"Some of them will be more [attuned to the commonality of being in a cluster], some will say, 'I'm hiding out, don't reveal me,' the value of not being seen," Straczynski explained. "So not all sensates will be naturally good people. Some people with that ability might not be the best people. So there's a whole range of them."

The fate of Whispers, who works with an organization to eliminate new clusters, is also unclear. In the end of season one, Whispers made eye contact with Will, a member of the main cluster. The eye contact means that Whispers now has access to Will's senses. In season two, Whispers can use this connection to hunt them all down.

Season two of "Sense8" is expected to return in the summer of 2016. Season one premiered on June 5th.
