According to the latest developments in the US box office, Straight Outta Compton has managed to grab the top position in the US box office for the third straight week, receiving $13.2 million at the most celebrated US cinemas. Whereas, Alex Kendrick's War Room has managed to keep up the top most spot, beating Zac Efron's We Are Your Friends, which was assigned the lowest spot.

The competition between Straight Outta Compton and Jurassic World is on the tight edge. The super hits have finally coped to stay in top of the US box office as they have left behind all the other latest movies for the three successive weeks, as seen this summer. On the other hand, one of the most astonishing and surprising knockouts observed in the US box office was claimed to be from War Room. It targeted the faith based audiences where it accumulated massive support from the Christian community. Alex Kendrick is on cloud nine as he is the lead behind the masterpiece. The movie revolves around the hardships faced by a family, who find their way through their faith and power of prayer.

Straight Outta Compton is continuing to rule the box office, where No Escape, starring Owen Wilson and Lake Bell has also taken a lead, holding the third spot by generating $8.3 million. The Tom Cruise special is still considered as the most favorite one as it has managed to survive for its fifth coming week, seizing the fourth spot at $8.3 million. The top five was then concluded to the sequel of the latest horror movie, Sinister 2.

Zac Efron fans are rather disappointed as the movie was seen incapable to get hold among the top five spots or even top ten spots. Opening with $1.8 million, it has received negative comments and holds a 43% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, depressing the fans.
