George Clooney and wife Amal Alamuddin love Italian food.

The elite couple owns a plush home in Lake Como, Italy. So when they go there, they often visit a local Italian restaurant Il Gatto Nero, in order to wolf down pasta, wine and other delectables, says owner Paolo Quarantotto, according to designtrend.

"[Amal] orders whatever she feels like, even if it is a starter, a plate of homemade pasta and a dessert," Quarantotto said. "If we have a special dish of the day, both George and Amal will have a taste along with whatever they order."

"They choose their wines carefully in line with their orders and consult each other on them. It's very sweet," added Quarantotto.

However, Amal is reportedly sick of the fuss they get when they go to Lake Como. She has been requesting George to sell his dear lakeside villa, bought in 2001 for $10 million.

"Amal has good business sense and it's a good time to sell," said a source.

"She found out how much he paid for it 13 years ago and its value has tripled. She asked if he'd ever sell and he pretty much told her no, and to not bother asking that again."

Moreover, "She loves Como, but she hates how open it is and she'd love him to get something more private. She feels vulnerable in that house."

The grapevine states that Amal has already been offered a job as the host of NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice," so she may want a New York City house.

"Basically we want Amal, although there are a couple of other prominent women in contention," an NBC source told the Express . "We think she could be a perfect fit, if her schedule can be made to dovetail with shooting requirements."

"As well as the cachet of being married to George," continued the NBC insider, "she is also a highly respected figure in her field and, since she rarely says anything in public, there is still something of an air of mystery to her."
