Jennifer Aniston is well known for her toned and stunning physique. The 45-year-old actress underwent a slight transformation for her latest movie Cake and gained weight by not working out for four months while shooting the film.

In order for Aniston to play Claire Simmons, a depressed woman who bonds with Worthington's character over the death of his wife, Aniston had to totally transform herself, including adding a few kilos and going without makeup on camera.

According to Us Weekly, Jen told fans that she gained a few pounds by not working out, and not being as restrictive about her diet, but don't worry, she didn't go eating donuts every single day:

"I basically just didn't work out for two-and-a-half months. I stopped working out and I stopped being as careful about my diet as I normally am. I was still healthy, but I'd allow more."

Aniston, the Friends star, is typically strict about what she eats and how much she works out in order to maintain her famously svelte physique.

In regards to not wearing make up for the role, she said she actually really enjoyed it.

"That's a byproduct of the character," Jennifer said. "I've said it before: It's very refreshing."

"There's a level of fearlessness. I think that you have to be able to sort of go, 'F*** it, I'm ready to just disappear.' "

To complete her transformation into Claire, the makeup team gave Jennifer fake scars.

"There was a big concern with the scars," Jennifer said. "We did a lot of experimenting and we had an extraordinary makeup artist make these scars for us. We did some trials, some scar test days. Oh, if you could have seen some of the pictures, it looked like Chainsaw Massacre kind of stuff, you know? Like Freddy Kruger."

"And by the end, I didn't even notice they were there. And I also thought they were... I don't know, I thought they were kind of beautiful."
