Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green Update: Couple Divorcing after 11 Years Together
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green are the latest Hollywood couple to call it quits.
"Megan has separated from Brian," an insider reveals exclusively in the new issue of Us Weekly. "They decided on it six months ago."
The couple, who have been together for 11 years and married for five, has reportedly been struggling with their marriage. One source stated that "things have been rocky" for the two, who are parents to sons Noah, 2, and Bodhi, 18 months. Another report stated that the tensions in their marriage continued to build up after Fox's filming schedule started to get very busy.
"They fight about her career," a source said reported by the Daily Mail. "She was obsessed with getting roles."
One more source claimed that the couple's problems also stemmed from the fact that Fox, 29, did not follow through with her renovation plans for their $3.35 million home. Regardless of their problems, Fox and Green, 42, have remained friendly.
"They're on friendly terms for the sake of their kids," an insider said. "They just want to do their own things."
The last time that Fox and Green were photographed together was on June 9 in Beverly Hills. The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" actress was also seen running errands without her wedding ring in July and August.
Despite being together for more than a decade, the couple has had some rough patches. In February 2009, Fox, who was 23 at the time, had called off their three-year engagement.
She had said, "Marriage isn't a realistic goal for someone who is 23."
In 2010, Green proposed to Fox again. The couple got married at the Four Seasons in Hawaii 24 days after the engagement. Green and Fox met in 2004 on the set of the sitcom "Hope & Faith."
Fox, who was just 18 at the time, said, "It was like magic."
Fox and Green's representatives have not commented on these reports.
