Maisie Williams, who everyone knows as Arya Stark from the HBO medieval drama, "Games of Thrones," is growing up!

The 18-year-old actress talked about preparing for a sex scene in her new movie, "The Falling," a film about an all-girls school in the 1960s. Williams recently spoke to Vulture about filming the scene where her character, Lydia, loses her virginity.

"It was extremely awkward! But (co-star) Joe (Cole) was very sensitive to the fact that I had never done a scene like this before, and it was great to work with someone who was so considerate of that. We went out for a couple of lunches and stuff just to get to know each other, and we had days of rehearsal where we'd get to know our characters and spend a couple of hours with each other. So I knew him quite well, and we got along quite well. It all paid off in the end," Williams said.

The young actress also talked about why she wanted to play Lydia.

"The reason I wanted to play Lydia in the first place was that she's such a different character than Arya. When I look at scripts, I always worry that the director isn't going to see past me playing Arya Stark or that sort of character," She explained. "So I fought for this role, and (the director) was really open to letting me try out. She really gave me a chance, and I'm so grateful for that. But I wanted to prove myself"

Williams spoke about making the transition from playing a girl to player more mature roles to Us Weekly last month.

She had said, "I feel like that's who I want to play in movies - the interesting girls that don't get spoken about a lot. And also just to make a good transition into being an adult, not only playing teen roles, but playing something that's maybe a bit more mature. To branch into something so people can see me in an older light and not just as a cute kid."

Aside from "Games of Thrones," Williams can be seen in the TV show, "Doctor Who" and the drama, "The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea."
